Big Al's Birthday celebration weekend(s)

Well hello there, here I am (pictured above), just days away from spending multiple weeks celebrating my birthday with dear friends and family. Over the course of a few weekends my journey from sea to summit has been a fun club filed adventure with all the love one guy could possible ask for. Just an excuse for frolicking I suppose, but why not extend the celebration as long as one can? The weather here in Oregon is just ripe for the revolution, so come on along!
Kicking things off with a little joint mothers day/ birthday party. Did you know that I was born on mothers day once upon a time? balloons and cake are enjoyed by all!

First night camping at Umpqua lighthouse state park....those present are Fun Club alums: Travis Hale, Richard Johnson, Morgen Swansen, Susan Cummings, and Alex Ferguson. First night mission: Avoid those that dwell in the sanctuary of Yurt City....bring back wood that will be used in the ceremonial barn-fire without being captured!

Oh yeah, a reunion of good ol' friends crabbing it up at Winchester Bay on the Oregon coast. After a long and challenging day hoisting up bountiful amounts of snapping crustations, we rejoice in the capturing of ONE that didn't get away. Later at the camp some of us will indulge in what can only be called: CAVITY MEAT.

This poor man was wiped out after an agonizing day of battling the wind and wrestling in giant sea halibut that took every once of energy to reel in. We all stood amazed at the sheer athletic ability that this brave angler exuded during our day on the pier.

I believe this was the toss that would bring us our capture of the cross-eyed crabtrosity.

CAVITY MEAT, JOINT MEAT, CLAW MEAT, MORE CAVITY MEAT, MORE JOINT MEAT

Thanks for all the good memories and making my birthday one to remember....FUN CLUB!
