Sawing our way into summer

It's been several weeks since our loving adventurers have sat a spell to sip coffee and share. Susan has had one side of her brain contemplating molecular structures and hydrogen hypotheses, and the other side thoughtfully manipulating charcoal into masterpieces. Meanwhile Alexander has endured all the beautiful yet random precipitation that falls from the sky as he taught the Oregonian fifth graders at the Garden. Alas, these daytime activities have drawn to a close so they plan for the summer time zest to unfurl.

Recent highlights include Susan having two art pieces accepted to the the Chemeketa student art show. Her framed beauties went on to win two awards, one being the jurors award and the other from the artist community. Being her number one fan Alexander rode the fourteen miles from Silverton to Salem on his trusty steed Liam. The sun was brightly burning for this ride. Also an educative, ah-inspiring trip to the state capital... yum!

And this just in.... Mary "Otter" Cummings has just graduated from the University of Oregon in majoring English! The MuMu's are delighted for this fantastic acheivement and wish her all the best to a bright and full future.

Hi kids,...MomCat here..Susan, I am so impressed!!!!Great job with your two art pieces..they are wonderful!!Congratulations on the awards..very well deserved. I am so excited to see the work you are turning out..and such great support from your number 1 fan. That was quite a bike ride. I'm glad you are enjoying the summer and I can't wait to see the two of you at Bandon by the Sea. Fun. Fun, non stop fun!!The bookcase turned out so good, I think it is really neat to have a matched set spanning the past 80+ years to complete. That will teach old Dad Dog to throw away our things..well, probably not but at least he has kept his promise and replaced this discarded item. lots of love to you two!! MomCat
